As reported by PowerProgress in their article, “Hyundai Adds Four Compact Excavator Models“, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has expanded its HX-A series of compact hydraulic excavators, bringing the total number of models to eight. The newly added models—HX17AZ, HX27AZ, HX55ACR, and HX60A—are powered by Tier 4 Final-compliant engines and are designed to enhance performance across various job sites.
Each of these new models brings specific features and capabilities to the lineup. For example, the HX17AZ has a compact operating weight of 4,370 lbs and a dig depth of 8 feet, making it perfect for smaller tasks. On the other hand, the HX60A, the heaviest of the new additions, boasts an operating weight of 13,580 lbs and a bucket breakout force of 9,461 lbf, ideal for heavy-duty excavation.
The HX55ACR and HX60A models come equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system and auto-shift travel speed to ensure seamless transitions during movement around the jobsite. Meanwhile, the zero-tail swing HX17AZ and HX27AZ models feature conventional hydraulic systems, providing flexibility and ease of use, especially in tight spaces.
Standard across all four models is a 5-inch full-color LCD monitor, adjustable hydraulic flow control, and multiple advanced features such as a hydraulic quick coupler and integrated utility lifting hook. Operators will also benefit from enhanced backfilling capabilities with the blade float feature and auto-engine idle for optimized fuel efficiency.
